These wafers are occasionally out of production. I was lucky enough to find a shelf full of these, and I purchased every box.
Newcomers to this kind of treat are probably familiar with the cheaper quality version called “Nutty Buddies.” The Tastykrisps are the original treat, with just the right amount of peanut-buttery cream coated in a thin chocolate layer.
If you are fortunate enough to find these delights on a store shelf, get at least a box. I am not joking when I state that people re-sell these boxes for $30 each, even months after the expiration date, and fans of this dreamy confection actually pay that amount.
